about
This song, like many of my other songs, came out of me as sort of a therapeutic exercise. When I look back at the time when I wrote and recorded it, my heart aches a bit and I wish I could give my slightly younger self a giant hug. I am thankful to have had music as such a healing creative outlet, and I only hope this song can touch someone else who is feeling the need for a little extra love.
-Peter Broderick 2016
lyrics
The cancer scare found me too
And all the times we got high seemed to be so low.
You're cycling faster than I can on this shit bike.
Whoever stole those bikes of mine likely aren't happy.
I said, "what's bigger than fear is the fear of fear."
You said, "but that's still just fear."
We've heard that progression before.
You know the feeling.
You know the feeling.
(I just got a text from Jefre Cantu-Ledesma)

This is another way to get my Dead Can Dance fix. Should I even say that? I picked up a few pennies today. I wore shoes. "I sentenced Death to a thousand years in jail so you'd be free to spend time with me." That sounds like something God would say. That's less time than Death deserves. Michael
